Kerri A. McDowell received her Bachelor of Arts degree, Summa Cum Laude, in Sociology and International Studies with a concentration in Gender Studies from Ramapo College in 2003. She obtained a Juris Doctor degree from Rutgers School of Law-Newark in 2007.
While in law school, Ms. McDowell served as a judicial intern for the Honorable William H. Walls, United States District Judge. She also served as a student intern in Rutger's Community Law Clinic, where she assisted in incorporating non-profit organizations and assisted in providing counsel to a Newark charter school. Additionally, Ms. McDowell interned in the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General in the Division of Consumer Affairs.
Following graduation from law school, Ms. McDowell served as law clerk to the Honorable Francine A. Schott, J.S.C. in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Family Division, Essex County. Ms. McDowell is admitted to practice in the States of New Jersey and New York.
